London: The five-wicket defeat to India in a warm-up match ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy will have no significance in the semifinals, said former Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene. The Lankans beat Australia by 20 runs at The Oval on Monday to finish No. 2 in group A of the championship.

Jayawardene scored an unbeaten 84 to finish Man of the Match as Sri Lanka scored 253 for eight wickets in a must-win game. Nuwan Kulasekara took 3 for 42 Rangana Herath took 2 for 48 to snuff out a late challenge by the Aussies.
