Dhaka: Bangladesh's national selection committee recalled Farhad Reza, the allrounder, for the ICC World Twenty20, starting in Sri Lanka on September 18.
Reza, who played his last T20 International in November 2011 against Pakistan, replaced Nazmul Hossain, the pacer, who was part of the T20 squad which toured Europe to play against Scotland and Netherlands in June-July. Reza has played eight T20Is since making his debut in 2006.
"We opted for Reza considering his allround ability. He is the kind of player Twenty20 games need," said Akram Khan, Chief Selector of Bangladesh Cricket Board.
