New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar was on 8. Mitchell Starc was on his Test number 3. The battle in the second innings of the third Test eventually went in favour of the 21-year-old. According to certain reports in the Australian press, the Starc phone has not stopped ringing since.
In a report in Sydney Morning Herald, Starc was quoted as saying he was too busy celebrating too look at Sachin after the batsman was trapped leg before. "I didn't watch Sachin walk off, I was too busy celebrating in the huddle. It was a great moment," he said. With Harris having removed Tendulkar in the first innings, Strac denied him the pleasure of a deja vu to bring down India's third and possibly world's best batsman.
"I didn't think too much about Sachin as I waited to bowl at him, but he's been world class for 20 years. To have scored that amount of runs, he's a champion."
