London: All hopes of Sachin Tendulkar getting a Test hundred at Lord's were dashed after he was dismissed for just 12 runs on the final day of the first Test against England.
England pacer James Anderson, who picked his wicket for the record sixth time, got rid of the maestro in the 67th over of India's batting. The ball nipped back from a length and past the inside edge struck onto the pads. Umpire Billy Bowden raised his crooked finger and a billion hearts broke.
Sachin had survived a chance in the same over after England skipper Andrew Strauss at slip dropped his catch.
