New Delhi: It would not be an exaggeration if one says the England tour has proved to be a jinxed one for the Indian cricket team. Having lost eight players on the tour already to various injuries, India are now struggling to compile a playing XI for the second ODI that would give them a chance to win their first international match on the English soil in the current series.
Here's how things stand: Ravindra Jadeja, who was named as Gautam Gambhir's replacement for the ODI, is still in India. He will leave either on Monday evening or Tuesday morning. That rules him out of the second ODI which is scheduled on Tuesday. (Pics: Sachin, Rohit join injured list)
Rohit Sharma, who suffered a fracture in his finger during the first ODI after a bouncer from Stuart Broad hit him, has been ruled out of the ODI series. Manoj Tiwary on Sunday was named as his replacement, but he can't reach England till Tuesday.
