Mumbai: While the club versus country debate refuses to die out, the participation of several players in India's tour of the West Indies starting on June 4 is already doubtful. The BCCI insists that there is no compulsion on the senior players to tour the West Indies for the Test and ODI series.

The Chief Administrative Officer of the BCCI, Ratnakar Shetty was reacting to reports in the media that certain senior players are unhappy about not being given a break.

Earlier reports of Virender Sehwag delaying his shoulder surgery because of the cash-rich IPL were doing the rounds. Other reports suggested that several players including skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh might be rested for the Windies tour in the view of the tough international schedule ahead.
