Ishant scalped the wicket of West Indies captain Darren Sammy in the post-lunch session, his fourth wicket in the home side's first innings, to reach the milestone at the Kensington Oval. He went on to pick up Ravi Rampaul and Fidel Edwards to take his match tally to 6 and career Test wickets to 102.
Ishant, who achieved the milestone in his 33rd Test, became the third youngest Indian to have taken 100 wickets in Test cricket after Kapil Dev (21 years 25 days) and Harbhajan Singh (21 years 319 days).
