Mahendra Singh Dhoni's ODI tons a bad omen for India?

Mahendra Singh DhoniNo doubt the Indian captain played one of his best ODI knocks of late but Mahendra Singh Dhoni had little to cheer about as his team lost the match by four wickets against Australia in the third game of the seven-match series at Mohali.

Captain Cool conquered pain and a hostile pace bowling to steady a rocking Indian ship and become the first Indian to score a century at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.

However, amidst the records broken by Dhoni on Saturday, there was one fact that Dhoni would want to set right as soon as possible - scoring hundred in an Indian win. His last century in an Indian win came way back on January 7, 2010 when his 101* off 107 balls took India to a 6-wicket victory over Bangladesh at Mirpur. Dhoni's previous ODI ton - a fighting 113 against Pakistan on December 30, 2012 - took the team out of doldrums after top order failed miserably. India lost that game by 6 wickets.
