Hyderabad: Dean Jones feels Australians are looking ragged and underprepared for the four-Test series. After the visitors were sent on a leather hunt by Cheteshwar Pujara (162*) and Murali Vijay (129*) on Day 2 of the Hyderabad Test on Sunday, the NDTV expert feels Australia didn't do enough to take on the Indians.
"I am really happy that the Australians are going through this pain now than coming into the Ashes. Their preparation has been adequate. Just a couple of two or three days games are not enough for a series in India. You've got to prepare for at least a couple of weeks or at least three first class matches before the first Test. So you get what you sow," said Jones.
Jones said that the Australian batsmen had a lot to learn from how Pujara and Vijay batted.
