Bangalore: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday (November 28) announced 13-man and 15-man squads respectively for the Twenty20 International and One-Day International series against India.
Kevin Pietersen was rested for the two T20Is to be played in Pune (December 20) and Mumbai (December 22), while Graeme Swann was left out of the entire limited-overs leg of the India tour. The England players return home after the T20Is for Christmas and come back to India in January for the five ODIs.
Stuart Meaker, the Surrey paceman, was included in the T20I squad that will be led by Stuart Broad, while Jonny Bairstow will take over the wicketkeeping duties from Craig Kieswetter, who was left out of the T20Is due to poor form, but was included in the ODI squad. Luke Wright, the allrounder, was also a part of the T20I squad.
