Rajkot: Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Tuesday, backed the selectors' decision to drop Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh from the team for the fourth and final Test against England but is hopeful that both will make a comeback in the squad.

"The selectors' decision to keep non-performing players out of the team is proper," the former skipper told reporters when asked about the axing of the off-spinner and the stylish batsman.

"Not only these two but all those who are not performing should be rested," he said. The cricketer-turned-politician, who is currently a Congress MP, was here to campaign for his party in the Gujarat Assembly election.
