Kolkata: Eden bid adieu to Sachin Tendulkar on Friday showering him with unstinted love, adulation and gifts as he took guard for one last time on the hallowed ground and the cricket icon reciprocated with a cherished parting gift for the CAB.

"He was very kind and gave us the gloves and a white Team India jersey which he used during the last Test match against the West Indies. We would put them up in the museum," Cricket Association of Bengal joint secretary Subir Ganguly said today.

Devastating bowling from debutant pacer Mohammad Shami saw India wrap the first Test inside three days as they handed West Indies a crushing innings and 51 runs defeat to go 1-0 up in the two-Test Tendulkar farewell series.
