Mumbai Cricket Association president Ravi Sawant will meet the Board of Control for Cricket in India today to decide the fate of the five-year ban imposed on Kolkata Knight Riders boss Shah Rukh Khan from entering the Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian Premier League franchise owner had been prohibited from entering the Wankhede Stadium premises after he had an altercation with a security guard and had reportedly threatened an official after an IPL match in May last year. The Bollywood superstar had initially refused to apologize for his behavior, thus evoking the MCA to stick with the suspension.

Shah Rukh's IPL champions are scheduled to play at the Wankhede Stadium against the Mumbai Indians on May 7 and the BCCI has requested the MCA to reconsider the 'ban' on Shah Rukh.
