Bangalore: Royal Challengers Bangalore's Daniel Vettori said their opening match against Mumbai Indians on Thursday will give them a chance to assess where the team stands and what would be their course of action during the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League.
"Mumbai Indians are the strongest team around. It is a great opening game for us. It will be a real test of where we are at and how far we can go in this competition," said Vettori.
The New Zealand spinner, who handed over RCB captaincy to Virat Kohli last season, said his role this season would be to play as a senior member and contribute to the team's success.
