Former India cricketer Farokh Engineer said on Thursday that he is confident of a close contest between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second match of the Indian Premier League.

Both teams have not won the tournament yet and Engineer, joined by Sunil Gavaskar and Dean Jones, said that the elusive title is what will make both powerhouses play harder. "Both teams have been very strong but have always missed out on the title. They will look to start their campaign on a winning note which is what will make this clash extremely interesting," he said.

Gavaskar also highlighted Ricky Ponting's introduction to the team as skipper. "It will be extremely interesting to see how he (Ponting) manages the team."
