Kind of treatment we get here we don't get in Caribbean, says Andre Russell

Andre Russell believes that the West Indian players are better treated in India than at home.

New Delhi: His legs slightly spread, knees somewhat bent, Andre Russell regaled the audience by crossing his arms and breaking into the Gangnam-style jig, and then won their hearts with a proclamation that West Indians playing in the IPL are treated "better" in India than in the Caribbean.

"People in India treat us like stars. We don't get that kind of treatment in the Caribbean," Russell told reporters on the sidelines of a promotional event on Wednesday.

"I can't explain the way they appreciate people in India," the 24-year-old Delhi Daredevils all-rounder with a unique hairstyle, said.
