In a last-ball finish the Mumbai Indians edged past Kings XI Punjab by 4 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday. Chasing 175 for victory, Punjab were bowled out for 170 in the last ball of the match.

Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma was declared Man of the Match for a blistering 39-ball 79. "I thought Malinga would finish the game in the 19th over but it wasn't to be," said Sharma after the win.

"Despite that I knew our bowlers would restrict them within our total. Our fielding was excellent, it is something we have been working on for some time now," added Sharma, who has now won all three games that he has taken charge of.
