New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals player S. Sreesanth was the only who went without dinner even as his two team mates along with the 11 bookies arrested for allegedly spot fixing IPL matches had a hearty meal Thursday night in police custody. But the fast bowler had rajma-chawal as brunch, police sources said Friday. (Sreesanth, Chavan, Chandila have confessed: Delhi Police to NDTV)
Sources told IANS that when Sreesanth was arrested from Trident Nariman Point Hotel in Mumbai late Wednesday, he was with a woman. Police refused to give more details about her. They also ruled out her involvement in spot fixing.
Sreesanth and his two Rajasthan Royals team mates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan alongwith 11 bookies were arrested Wednesday night from different locations for spot fixing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. They were remanded to five days' police custody and are lodged in the Special Cell office of Delhi Police at Lodhi Colony here.
