IPL 6: Adam Gilchrist signs off career with Harbhajan Singh's wicket

Kings XI captain and wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist picked up a wicket with his first and last ball in IPL cricket, as Harbhajan Singh was the batsman to be dismissed.

Dharamsala: Just like Sunil Gavaskar denied Zaheer Abbas a century by getting his only Test wicket, Adam Gilchrist will the tale of how he got Harbhajan Singh out with last delivery of his competitive career.

Playing his last IPL match, the 41-year-old decided to bowl off spin with the match won by the Kings XI. The first ball he bowled saw Harbhajan slog towards long-on. Gurkeerat Singh at boundary line took an easy catch, to give Gilchrist his first and only IPL wicket. Also read: Sleepless nights, no baths for Sreesanth

It proved to be 'a lucky 13' for Gilly as he had bowled only 12 deliveries prior to this in 648 competitive matches at the senior level.
