The Working Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India will meet in the coming week - an exact date is yet to be finalised - to give members of the Board a chance to share views following the recent crisis that has engulfed Indian cricket.

Anurag Thakur, the president of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association and joint-secretary of the BCCI, on Friday (May 31) afternoon, said he spoke to N Srinivasan, the BCCI president, and asked him to call a meeting of the Board. Srinivasan then scheduled the meeting for the coming week, but an exact date was not announced.

"We are talking to various members of the board and I have spoken to the president to convene a meeting and discuss all these issues in the meeting," said Thakur, referring to the controversy that erupted after three Rajasthan Royals players were arrested for alleged spot fixing, followed by the arrest of M Gurunath, Srinivasan's son-in-law. "I think it's very important to convene a meeting, I have spoken to the president and the secretary (Sanjay Jagdale) asking them to convene a meeting and I think they will convene a meeting over the next few days.
