Mumbai: Mumbai Indians' dreams of winning the Indian Premier League for the second consecutive time came crashing down at Brabourne on Wednesday. (Scorecard | Commentary | Highlights)

The defending champions lost to Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets but skipper Rohit Sharma said he had a lot of positives from the entire tournament.

Mumbai staged a miraculous comeback to make it to the playoffs but lost steam against two-time champions Chennai in the eliminator. Rohit however said it was the effort which was heartening. "Chennai were the better side today. But we played well throughout the tournament and the way we got ourselves back into contention was remarkable," he said after the match.
