Mumbai: Delhi Daredevils skipper Virender Sehwag said it was a conscious decision to hand the ball to Shahbaz Nadeem, who bowled a sensational spell to lay the foundation of his team's victory, at the start of Mumbai Indians innings in Mumbai on Monday.
Nadeem accounted for both the openers - Richard Levi and Devy Jacobs - in successive overs to start the slide for Mumbai, who were all out for just 92, season's lowest total.
"My bowlers did a fantastic job. The wicket had something for them. I feel the openers wouldn't be effective against that kind of (spin) attack," Sehwag said after his side won the match by seven wickets.
