Kolkata: Sourav Ganguly might have got a cold shoulder from Kolkata Knight Riders after not-so-impressive first three seasons, but his brother feels there's nothing wrong if KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan decided against retaining the iconic batsman.
"Shah Rukh endorses a lot of brands, does that mean if a brand snaps the deal with him he is not a superstar anymore?" a tongue-in-cheek Snehasish asked.
"This is professional cricket and perhaps Shah Rukh Khan felt Sourav did not fit into his scheme of things. That's fine. It was purely a business decision. And we don't mind that. Nobody, even Sourav, reacted in the family," he added.
