Bangalore: Reiterating his sudden decision to quit international cricket on the eve of the Test series against New Zealand, V.V.S. Laxman said he intends playing Ranji Trophy for Hyderabad in a bid to "give something back" to his home state.
"Yes, I thought it was the best time to move on and I am very happy and satisfied with the decision I made," said Laxman.
"It is a great honour playing for the country and you would love to continue doing that. But then it was the right time to give opportunities to youngsters."
