The last time India played an ODI series in South Africa was just before the 2011 World Cup. India were without the services of three key players -- Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Praveen Kumar -- for the five-match series while Sachin Tendulkar played just two games. 1ST ODI: South Africa beat India by 135 runs in Durban

It all began with AB de Villiers and JP Duminy notching up half-centuries in the first one-dayer in Durban. India were chasing 290 to win and Lonwabo Tsotsobe's fierce spell saw the Men in Blue lose by a big margin of 135 runs.
