Fez, Morocco:Venezuelan Milagros Sequera rallied from a first-set rout to beat Romania's Ioana Raluca Olaru, 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5) on Saturday and reach the final of the Grand Prix SAR Lalla Meryem.
It will be only the second WTA Tour final and first since 2003 for Sequera, who will face Aleksandra Wozniak.
The Canadian beat Maria Emilia Salerni of Argentina in the other semifinal, 6-3, 6-4.
Sequera, a 27-year-old resident of San Diego, California, last reached the finals of a WTA Tour event at Quebec City, where she retired in the second set against Maria Sharapova.
In quarterfinals on Friday, Sequera eliminated the tournament's last seed, France's No 7 Camille Pin, 7-6 (3), 6-4.
In doubles finals on Saturday, top-seeded pair Vania King of the United States and Indian partner Sanmia Mirza handily defeated No 2 Andreea Ehritt-Vanc of Romania and Russia's Anastasia Rodionova, 6-2, 6-2.
