New York: Michaela Krajicek was seven years old when her half-brother won Wimbledon. She's trying to follow in his footsteps. "I have no idea what I was doing at that age," the 14-year-old Krajicek said of the 1996 Wimbledon final when Richard Krajicek of the Netherlands defeated American Malivai Washington. "I saw the match a lot of times. It wasn't only that my brother was playing. I liked the game." Richard Krajicek is part of tennis history. His half-sister could be the future of the sport. The Dutch girl spent yesterday like every other player at the US Open, waiting for the weather to clear. At 5.30 pm officials announced that all Junior Girls matches had been postponed. Even at her young age, Michaela Krajicek has been a winner, rising up the International Tennis Federation junior rankings to No. 1 in the world and is seeded No. 2 in the year's final Grand Slam tournament.
