Paris:
The World number one did not drop a set against Jelena Jankovic in the semi-finals, just as she has not all tournament.
The 25-year-old broke Steffi Graf's record with this, her 20th successive singles win at Roland Garros and the only person who can now stop her from completing a fourth French Open trophy and a hat-trick of sorts at Roland Garros is the fearless Serbian Ana Ivanovic.
"Well, I know her a bit. I have seen what she has done. She has played an exceptional tournament this year and she is in great shape, she has won in Berlin and is very confident," said Justine Henin, World No 1, Women's Singles.
"Saturday will be a Grand Slam final, so it is going to be a great. I think the most fighting of the two of us will win. She has matured quite a lot over the last years, so this is a match I am going to work on very seriously," she added.
The 19-year-old World number seven Ivanovic showed her prowess when she crushed Maria Sharapova 6-2, 6-1 in the semis.
"It is my first Grand Slam final, so I am very excited to be here, and have chance to play against some of the top players. And it is hard not to get overexcited. But I think for myself it is very important to think more about my shots," said Ana Ivanovic, World No 7, Women's Singles.
And Ivanovic knows that getting past Henin, who does not mind a slugfest herself, will be far tougher than brushing aside Sania Mirza, which she did in Round two.
So, a mouthwatering clash between an experienced campaigner and a fearless warrior that is the women's singles final this Saturday at Roland Garros.
