Leander Paes and his Czech partner Martin Damm on Friday moved into the finals of the men's doubles at the US Open. The sixth seed Indo-Czech pair beat the fourth-seeded pair of Paul Hanley (Australia) and Kevin Ullyett (Zimbabwe) 6-7, 7-6, 7-5. Paes and Damm will take on the second-seeded pair of Jonas Bjorkman (Sweden) and Max Mirnyi (Belarus) in the finals. Bjorkman and Mirnyi registered an easy 6-1, 6-4 win over the unseeded Aussie-American pair of Ashley Fisher and Tripp Phillips in the first semifinal.Topics mentioned in this article
