Madrid:Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan, British number one Andy Murray and Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina all went through to the second round of the ATP Madrid Masters in straight sets on Monday. Srichaphan disposed of Spanish qualifier Gorka Fraile 6-2, 6-2 in just 55 minutes, while Murray took a little longer to overcome Ivan Navarro 6-2, 6-4, setting up a meeting with last year's beaten finalist Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia. Chela put out the former world number one Carlos Moya 6-3, 6-2 to make it a bad day for Spanish supporters. However, they still have the reigning champion Rafael Nadal in the draw. He starts his defence against Mardy Fish of the United States on Tuesday. (AP)
