London: Mardy Fish has never missed a Thanksgiving at home, nor has he ever visited London in a gray November. Not that he's complaining.
The 29-year-old American has qualified for the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals for the first time in his career and he is determined to enjoy it — even if he is finding England's capital a little "chilly" compared to what he encounters at Wimbledon in June and July.
"It is exciting to be here at this time," Fish said Friday. "Thanksgiving is obviously a big holiday in the States and I've never missed that with my family so it'll be different. I'll be playing that day (Thursday) so that'll be interesting, a little different from past years."
