Wimbledon, England:
The top-ranked American twins, who won the title last year at the All England Club, defeated Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjic 7-6 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (6) on Saturday.
"Luckily we got out of it in three and kept it short so we have our energy for tomorrow," Bob Bryan said. "Santoro and Zimonjic have been playing really well in the last few months especially, so they've got to be one of the hottest teams on tour and we had to play our best stuff to beat them."
The five-time Grand Slam champion Bryan brothers, who face Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra in the final, have not dropped a set at this year's tournament.
"The first set was the turning point," Bob Bryan said.
"Zimonjic served for the set and we were able to sneak out a break, and then it kind of just turned and we started raising our game. It seemed they were just fighting to stay in it."
Both Bryan brothers have been eliminated from the mixed doubles tournaments, and with all the rain at Wimbledon this year, that's not such a bad thing.
"It is a mixed blessing because we both only have so many serves in these arms," Bob Bryan said. "We needed all those serves coming through today powerful, and I think that's going to save our bodies a little bit for tomorrow."
Clement and Llodra reached the final by beating Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa 7-6 (8), 6-3, 6-3.
In women's doubles, Katarina Srebotnik and Ai Sugiyama will play 2005 champions Cara Black and Liezel Huber.
