Mexico won the doubles against Venezuela for an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the Davis Cup Americas Zone Group I tie on Saturday. Bruno Echagaray teamed with Daniel Langre to beat Jose Antonio De Armas and Yohny Romero 4-6, 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 on hard courts at the Juan Carlos Bianchi Tennis Center. Mexico will now face Canada in the second round on April 7-9. Mexico beat Venezuela in Davis Cup for the fifth time in as many ties. In Friday's singles, Miguel Gallardo beat Romero 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-3, 12-10 in five hours, while Santiago Gonzalez defeated De Armas 6-1, 6-0, 5-7, 6-4. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
