The Italia Masters in Rome has seen a large number of seeds knocked out in the first four days of competition. Another seeded player who was knocked out of the tournament was Britaina€™s Tim Henman. Seeded fourth, the 29-year-old was the tournament's top remaining seed going into his third round match against Mariano Zabaleta. Henman took the first set 6-3, but Zabaleta won 12 of the first 15 points in the second set, which he went on to take 6-3. Clay court specialist Zabaleta thrived from the baseline as Henman struggled and the Argentine clinched a quarter-final place with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory. Safin ousted Exhaustion over took Marat Safin who had to play a second match on Thursday. Safin who had beaten Srichaphan earlier in the day, could not play to his potential when he faced Chilean Nicolas Massu in the third round also on the same day.
