Paris:It's an all-Argentine affair in the men's final at the French Open today with third seeded Guillermo Coria taking on unseeded dark horse Gaston Gaudio. Coria is the overwhelming favourite as he takes on his compatriot. But unlike the all-Russian women's final between two childhood friends, the men's final is going to be far from pleasant. Bitter clash Guillermo Coria and Gaston Gaudio don't see eye to eye. The two had a bitter clash last year at the Hamburg Masters which ended in a huge fight in the locker room. However Coria says things have been sorted out. The third seed who had won that clash is the favourite this time around as well and the fact that he has lost just one set en route to the final means he will be a tough opponent for Gaudio. Coria's strenghts is his speed around the court. That was evident from his 4 set win over Tim Henman in the semi-finals. Coria won despite having half the number of winners as compared to Henman, but he had just 18 unforced errors. The final battle Gaudio who poses a lethal backhand knows he will need it to play the best tennis of his life if he is to overcome Coria. The unseeded player had to overcome two five set matches before convincingly beating Lleyton Hewitt and David Nalbandian on the way to his first Grand Slam final. The 25 year old has won just two tournaments in his career. His inconsistency forced him to hire a psyschologist earlier this season, and given how he burst into tears after his semi-final win, there certainly will be an encore if he wins the final.
