Sania Mirza and Cara Black went down fighting against the top-seeded pair of Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in the women's doubles final of the Rogers Cup in Montreal on Sunday.
The fourth-seeded Indo-Zimbabwean pair lost 7-6 (4), 6-3 against the Italian duo. Errani and Vinci were playing in their first tournament since winning the Wimbledon title last month.
The Italian pair was forced to a tie-breaking first set by Sania and Black as both teams wouldn't let up on their serves. The second set was all in favor of Errani and Vinci as they served for the match and broke Sania and Black to win their first Rogers Cup title.
