New Delhi:Rohan Bopanna pulled of one of the biggest wins of his career when he, along with Jarrko Niemenin, upset top seeds and multiple Grand Slam winners Bob and Mike Bryan in the men's doubles quarterfinals of the $600,000 SAP Open in California, United States.
The unseeded Indo-Finnish pair shocked the Australian Open winners 6-4, 4-6 (10-5) to reach the semifinals of the hard court event.
Bopanna and Niemenin saved 12 breakpoints in the match and dropped their serve just once to eke out the memorable win.
The match was locked 1-1 before the winners took control of the proceedings in the deciding super-tie breaker to beat the formidable American brothers.
Bopanna and Niemenin next face Australian Stephen Huss and British Ross Hutchins in the last-four stage.
