The Ashes: Queen Elizabeth II to attend 2nd Test at Lord's

The last Test attended by the Queen was also between England and Australia at Lord's, in July 2009 - a match which the hosts won by 115 runs.

London: Queen Elizabeth II will be present at the Lord's Cricket Ground to watch opening day of the second Ashes Test between England and Australia, here on Thursday.

The Queen would be introduced to the captains and the players as well as match officials before the start of play.

She will also visit the Marylebone Cricket Club's (MCC) famous Long Room, and meet the coaching staff of both teams before taking a seat on the MCC balcony to watch some of the day's play, according to the 'Daily Telegraph'.
