Michael Clarke's Australia may have lost all chances of reclaiming the Ashes. For the skipper though, the Old Trafford Test provided significant numbers which he - as an individual player - can use to inspire his fellow players with.

# Michael Clarke is averaging 77.43 in drawn Tests - his aggregate being 1781, including eight centuries and three fifties, in 18 Tests. Amongst the batsmen with 1500 runs or more in drawn games, his average is the second highest, next only to Everton Weekes' 87.23 - 2268 runs in 17 Tests, including ten hundreds and five fifties.
